Construction Practices / Project Management Laboratory
The Construction Practices Laboratory is a 1151 ft2 computer laboratory with 20 student workstations and an instructor workstation, all of which are connected to the Mosaic system. Each student workstation is a Dell Precision 490 with a 24-inch monitor and GTCO 3630 roll-up digitizer.
Construction Practices Computing Laboratory Layout
The facility is used to support instruction in a variety of courses to include: CMET 2680 Plan Reading and Quantity Takeoff; ETCE 1211L Surveying I Lab; ETCE 2112L Construction Surveying and Layout Lab; CMET 3123 Cost Estimating; CMET 4126 Project Scheduling and Control; CMET 4126L Construction Practices Lab; ETCE 4251 Highway Design and Construction; and ETCE 4272 Senior Capstone. Specific construction and civil engineering applications employed in this laboratory include Primavera P6, Timberline Estimating, Autodesk RevIT ( BIM), iSqFt Toolbox, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
