2020-2021 Virtual Construction Internship and Career Fair

Industry participation in this event provides access to over 300 students studying Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology at UNC Charlotte. In addition, students from our Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology and Fire Protection and Occupational Health & Safety are also invited to participate.
The Construction Internship & Career Fair is held each fall for students and employers in and around the construction industry to network and explore career options. The students are predominately Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology majors, but the fair is open to all students in William States Lee College of Engineering and UNC Charlotte. The companies are local, regional, and national construction and engineering organizations seeking outstanding talent for full-time, part-time, and intern positions.
This year in lieu of a traditional booth, companies will have access to a moderated virtual room for the company to present to interested students. Virtual rooms will be offered sequentially to prevent overlapping company presentations. Rooms have been scheduled on Monday evenings to minimize the conflict with required Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology courses. Alternative time slots can potentially be arranged for Gold Level participants.

The Construction Internship & Career Fair is held each Fall for students and employers in and around the construction industry to network and explore career options. This year, the event will be virtual to protect the health of our students and industry partners.
Participating companies will be provided with a student resume book as we have done in the past. Students will have the option to record a 2-minute introductory video to accompany their resume to replace the typical handshake interaction between students and recruiters at the in-person event.
